Information leaks are beginning to cause a direct reaction from the authorities in Russia and the post-Soviet space. leaks, in particular of citizens’ personal data, directly affect the interests of states. The more understanding that incidents become public, the more consistent the authorities’ actions to protect information become – remember how the European GDPR was adopt. The problem is that so far, states are taking mainly punitive measures – fining, prosecuting and removing from office those who have already allow a leak, but this is not enough. It would be useful to focus on preventing violations, to create conditions in which the risk of leaks is minimiz.

These are tools for full scanning for illegal data storage (iscovery class of solutions), a data leak prevention system (DLP); employee activity monitoring systems; investigation tools.
